Glastonbury 2023: Arctic Monkeys, Guns N’ Roses and Elton John make for all-male headliners
55 acts were revealed in total, including Lizzo, Lana Del Rey and Loyle Carner
Legendary acts Arctic Monkeys, Guns N’ Roses and Elton John have all been named as the headliners for this year’s Glastonbury Festival.
Worthy Farm will see an all-male line-up for the top spots despite Emily Eavis’ ongoing attempts to bring more women into the top gigs.
Indie kings Arctic Monkeys will headline Friday, which will be their third time closing the Pyramid stage. While Eavis told The Guardian that rock legends Guns N’ Roses were booked when a previously confirmed female headliner reportedly pulled out.
While Eavis didn’t name names, it’s strongly suspected she was alluding to Taylor Swift, who was originally set to perform in 2020 when the festival was cancelled due to Covid.
Other acts on the bill include Lizzo, Lana Del Rey, Loyle Carner, as well as Slowthai, Lil Nas X, FLO, Joey Bada$$, Shygirl and plenty more too.
